Alex Ford is a government relations professional with a proven track record of advancing the interests of clients in the tax policy space. He specializes in building consensus among diverse stakeholder groups, distilling complex issues into persuasive and actionable messaging, and crafting innovative strategies to engage decision-makers and spur change.

Prior to joining Prism Group Alex founded and ran Halcyon Strategy, a boutique advocacy firm representing various trade association clients on a wide array of taxation issues. He previously worked as a Director of Federal Affairs at NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, as a Manager of Federal Relations at the American Institute of Architects, and began his career in Washington, DC, serving as an aide to Connecticut Senator Joseph Lieberman.

Originally from Virginia, Alex holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary, an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a LEED AP BD+C accredited professional. He is a dual Brazilian-American citizen and speaks fluent Portuguese.
