He previously worked as a Director of Federal Affairs at NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, as a Manager of Federal Relations at the American Institute of Architects, and began his career in Washington, DC, serving as an aide to Connecticut Senator Joseph Lieberman.
Originally from Virginia, Alex holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary, an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a LEED AP BD+C accredited professional. He is a dual Brazilian-American citizen and speaks fluent Portuguese.
