John is a skilled policy and government affairs expert with extensive experience in investment and funding policies, particularly for pre-revenue biotech companies, and a strong background in tax reform, government funding, SBIR grants, and regulatory issues impacting high-tech industries.
Experience
Over his nine years at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), John collaborated with stakeholders, lawmakers, and regulatory agencies to advance solutions for industry challenges, foster a supportive innovation ecosystem, and address tax and economic development incentives at both federal and state levels.
John holds a B.S. from Florida State University (FSU) and an M.A. in International Science & Technology Policy from George Washington University (GWU). His academic work at GWU included in-depth research on U.S. satellite earth observation regulations and proposed reforms, as well as contributions to regulatory frameworks for automated driving systems. He has also published in the GW International Affairs Review, advocating for economic stimulus to support renewable energy R&D.
