Kimarah Timothy

Experience

Prior to joining Prism Group, Kimarah served in multiple positions within the NYC office of United States Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer, most recently as a Community and Constituent Liaison. In that role, she helped New Yorkers navigate the bureaucracy of federal agencies including the United States Postal Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration to name a few. Skilled in small business advocacy, Kimarah played a pivotal role in responding to and supporting hundreds of small businesses experiencing devastating economic impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. As Leader Schumer’s only constituent liaison for small business inquiries, Kimarah ensured New York’s small business community was equipped with sufficient knowledge on accessing federal funding options and other support programs. Kimarah's project management knowledge makes her an invaluable asset for the coalitions under her care.

Kimarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from State University of New York College at Old Westbury and a Master of Public Administration & Policy from American University. During her time at American University, she served as Treasurer and Event Coordinator of the Graduate Black Student Union.
