HOUSE REPUBLICANS ASK TRUMP TO AVOID RESCINDING SOME BIDEN EO’s... The House is preparing a major reconciliation package, with an aggressive timeline, to advance the new administration’s top priorities from tax cuts to immigration reform. To pay for these provisions within the reconciliation package, Congress must cut spending in other areas. House Republicans have asked the Trump administration to avoid rescinding some Biden Administration EO’s, like student loan forgiveness and EV incentives. If Trump were to rescind those EO’s, Congress wouldn’t be able to repeal them in the reconciliation package, which would reduce offsets by more than $400M.
SMALL BUSINESSES BRACE THEMSELVES FOR POTENTIALLY DISRUPTIVE TIKTOK BAN... A looming TikTok ban could affect the millions of small businesses that use the short-video social media app to help them grow their business. Though TikTok has been around only since 2016, small business owners use the platform in a variety of ways, from growing a customer base to advertising and marketing, as well as selling goods directly from the site. According to TikTok’s own estimates, small businesses on TikTok would lose more than $1 billion in revenue in a single month if the ban goes into effect.
