Prism Group's Daily Summary

CR DRAMA HEATS UP... With just three days until a funding deadline, Speaker Mike Johnson is reportedly relying increasingly on President Trump's influence within the caucus in pushing for near-unanimous GOP support of his Continuing Resolution bill. And while House Minority Leader Jeffries has vowed Democratic opposition, Senate Democrats are wary but not outright rejecting the GOP's CR, and some have signaled they may vote to prevent a shutdown. With a razor-thin margin in the House, absences and defections could ultimately tip the balance.
SBA ANNOUNCES MADE IN AMERICA MANUFACTURING INITIATIVE... Today, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler announced the launch of the Made in America Manufacturing Initiative, a new effort aimed at revitalizing U.S. manufacturing and strengthening national security. This initiative aligns with President Trump’s economic agenda to create well-paying jobs, secure supply chains, promote fair trade, and reignite the blue-collar surge in the job market. The SBA’s new initiative has the potential to empower small manufacturers by providing resources, funding opportunities, and policy support to ensure their success in a competitive global market.
TRILLIONS LOST IN US STOCK SELL OFF... Amid on-again, off-again tariffs with Canada, Mexico, and China, the S&P 500 has fell by 8%, wiping out $4T from its February all-time high, while the NASDAQ has entered correction territory, falling 10% since its December peak. Capricious tariff policy, a potential government shutdown, and chaotic federal spending slashes have spooked investors and raises questions around the globe about the stability of the USD.
